Summary: Abstract The novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has taken the world by storm. Alongside COVID-19, diabetes is a long-standing global epidemic. The diabetes population has been reported to suffer adverse outcomes if infected by COVID-19. The aim is to describe the Challenges encountered of an adult with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus during this time of Pandemic, highlighting special measures that individuals with diabetes mellitus need to follow. This study is grounded on Nola Pender’s Health Promotion Model and views that multifaceted nature of persons interacting with the environment as they pursue health. This study intends to contribute to the limited information about the health promotion model in the context of Filipino adults with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. The researcher utilized the exploratory phenomenology method of mixed qualitative and quantitative research design, sees as effective tool to gather information regarding their challenges encountered and what are their self-care practices considering the factors that affected them during the pandemic.
