The main objective of the study was to determine parents' involvement and related problems in Modular Distance Learning of the seven public elementary schools for the school year 2020-2021, with the end goal of proposing an action program to aid the parents' material support of their children in the new learning modality. The researcher utilized quantitative descriptive design. A self-administered survey questionnaire was used to measure parental involvement in modular distant learning. Academic aspect, as defined in the study, refers to parental involvement in enhancing their children's cognitive ability. In addition, the material-support aspect refers to the concrete objects provided by parents to their children.
Based on the result, respondents are more involved on the academic aspect of their children. On the other hand, respondents occasionally provide extra educational resources to their children. Moreover, there is a significant difference between parents' involvement in academic and material support aspect. An action program was proposed to assist parents in providing material assistance for their children in the new learning modality.
