Summary: This study examines the levels of awareness and practices regarding the Department of Health (DOH) 7 Health Habits among employees of Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital (DEDVMH). The analysis reveals significant variations in awareness and practices across different demographic factors, utilizing data from surveys conducted among respondents. Age, educational attainment, civil status, and department assignment emerged as influential factors shaping awareness levels, with older individuals and those with highest education demonstrating greater awareness. However, there were minimal differences in practices based on these factors. Furthermore, while there was a moderate positive corelation between awareness and practices, targeted interventions are needed to address specific health behaviors where awareness and practice may be inadequate. Proposed policy and program enhancement measures include tailored educational initiatives, departmental support programs, wellness incentive programs, peer support networks, integration of health promotion into organizational culture, evaluation and monitoring mechanisms, collaboration with external partners, continuous professional development, and sustainability strategies. These measures aim to provide awareness, promote healthier practices, and foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture conducive to employee well-being. Over-all, the study underscores the importance of comprehensive health promotion strategies tailored to the diverse needs of healthcare professionals to enhance awareness and promote healthier behaviors within healthcare settings. The study provides valuable insights into the awareness and practices of healthcare professionals regarding the DOH 7 Healthy Habits.
