Summary: Effective human resources management in an organization can make or break a hospitality business. Hospitality industry is constantly growing industry by leaps and bounds with growth in terms of economy at the global scale. The effect of recession is not severe on hotel industry because of the fact that individuals or families would take up travel for business purpose or for recreation and would need services of hotel industry. The only concern that the hotel management or managers face is employee turnover rate in hospitality, to overcome this issue strategic selection of right person for a right job is the key to success. It is vital part of a business dealing with the manpower within an organization. In hospitality, which covers businesses like hotels, restaurants and cruise lines, the work is nothing if not people-related. Tourists from all provinces of life travel to experience new cultures and new places, coming into interaction with workers from food service to housekeeping activities. Without adequate human resources practices in place, a hospitality business will fail the people test by not having the right staff adequately trained to serve an eager audience. Having concrete human resources staffing system also minimizes employee turnover which can creates a problem in several challenging industries.
