As industries progress to a globally competitive economy, accounting software has become an integral tool in modern organizations to determine their survival and success. Accounting software allows businesses to use their accounting team’s resources better while reducing costly bookkeeping errors and providing timely and accurate financial information to key employees. In view of the foregoing, the researchers aim to evaluate the characteristics of accounting software and business performance of selected cooperatives in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. This study utilized a quantitative research design with the aid of an adapted and researcher-made questionnaire in gathering data. To analyze the responses of the respondents, percentage and mode were utilized. The evaluation of the cooperatives’ characteristics and business performance underscores the prevailing positive performance of the selected accounting software. This highlights the substantial benefits across multiple dimensions, showcasing the advantages of accounting software for cooperatives. Nevertheless, certain cooperatives noted lower evaluation levels with internal, Control, Training and the learning and growth perspective. Hence enhancing the softwares internal control features and investing in training, skill development, and fostering a culture of continuous learning is recommended.
