Summary: The Modular Distance Learning (MDL) modality as the new learning instruction during pandemic created different views and perceptions from the teachers and the students from both public and private schools in the Philippines. Thus, this study hopes to ventilate new issues in the implementation of the K to 12 education program. This qualitative study seeks to know the teachers and the students' perceptions during the preparation, implementation, and evaluation phases of MDL in Pilar Technical-Vocational High School (PTVHS), San Isidro Technical-Vocational High School, and Virgen del Pilar Academy (VPA), during the school year 2020-2021. This study used qualitative research design; specifically using the survey approach to know the perceptions of the teachers and the students on the teaching of English during the MDL approach in the three (3) Senior High School in Pilar, Bohol. The findings of this study revealed that during the preparation phase of MDL, the teachers edited some ungrammaticalities and wrong usage of terms and removed some parts in the self-learning modules of the students.
