Summary: Abstract Tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable death worldwide and in estimated to kill more than 5 million people each year worldwide. Effective tobacco control policies are enshrined in the World Health Organization (WHO) Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC), a legally binding international treaty that was ratified by the Philippines in 2005. Since 2007, Bloomerg Philanthropies has supported the accelerated reduction of tobacco use in many countries including Philippines. The aim was to explore the smoking experiences among adolescents the focus on finding are on the prominent. The data were collected by mobile phone and messenger interview during the participant’s available time online and by mobile phone. The data collection took so much waiting time as mobile and internet signed was unstable. Data collected from phenomenology studies fall on editing analysis style. According to Polit and Becks, the researcher using an editing style as interpreters who read through the data in search of meaningful segments and units. Once they identify segments they develop a category scheme and corresponding codes that can be used to sort and organize the data. The study therefore concluded smoking experiences had proven the lack of full implementation of the national smoking infrastructure mandated by the Tobacco Regulations Act through the DOH’s smoking Cessation Program of the Department of Health in support to the National Tobacco Control and Healthy Lifestyle Program. Smoking cessation interventions should be effectively delivered in both the school and family environment.
