Summary, etc. <br/>Abstract<br/><br/> This study aimed to assess the stressful experiences of the clinical environment identified by nurse interns and their way of coping to those experiences.<br/> <br/> The study used a qualitative research design specifically a phenomenological approach to analyze the respondents’ perceived stressful experiences during their clinical placement.<br/> <br/> Findings of the study revealed that nursing interns experience various sources of stress in the hospital. However, the theme of sense of inadequacy was one of the most common stressor felt by the nursing interns in the hospital setting based from the many situations experienced followed by experiences related to ineffective communication, being ignored and too much to do, adjusting to changes, hospital environment and lastly, a sense of mistrust. The prevailing response of nurse interns towards those stressful experiences was being optimistic. It greatly showed that the nurse interns actively responded with their stressors mostly within themselves in order to adapt to the hospital setting. <br/><br/><br/>
