520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Impression management is pervasive in social interaction, and there is so much social interaction on social media, particularly Facebook. adolescents are at an important stage in which they care about their appearance and thus care about impression management. Concern for good impression has been linked to social anxiety. This study aims to determine impression management on Facebook and social anxiety among adolescent at Holy Name University. A correlational research design was used in this study with 198 adolescent respondents. There is a positive association of the two variables, impression management on Facebook and social anxiety in adolescents. Specifically, most of the respondents are aware of their impression on Facebook (public self-consciousness), value image of being likable and friendly (ingratiation), value ethical behavior on Facebook (exemplification). However, they don't overtly show their achievements and activities (self-promotion). lastly, they do not share their vulnerabilities on Facebook (supplication). Furthermore, the social anxiety variable found that privacy concerns were the most anxiety-including, Followed by self-evaluation anxiety, interaction anxiety, and lastly, shared content anxiety. These findings suggest that adolescents may experience social anxiety in various aspects of their online interactions and the concern for impression management may contribute to this feeling of social anxiety. These results may have implications for mental health professionals, educators, and parents who work with young people to promote healthy social media habits and support positive mental health outcomes.
