Summary, etc. This study aimed to determine the biochemical components of garlic, onion, pineapple and banana peels as well as compare the fungal growth of Cladosporium spp., Trichophyton spp., and Fusarium spp. using the experimental culture media derived from garlic, onion, pineapple ad banana peels. The vegetable and fruit peels were collected from wet markets, dried, pulverized, sieved, and were stored in a clean screw-cap container. The pulverized peels were used as the experimental culture media. Fungi were cultured in the four pure experimental culture media and in the seven mixed experimental culture media. The growth of fungi was also compared against the positive control media particularly the Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) and Nutrient Agar (NA). All cultures were incubated at toom temperature (28oC) for 3 days. The fungal growth was measured by using the Vernier caliper. Results from biochemical tests revealed the presence of carbohydrates and sulfur for all vegetable and fruit filtrates while phosphorus was only present in banana peel filtrate. The pH of the experimental media was 7.0. Cladosporium spp. exhibited the wildest diameter with 26.1 millimeters in the garlic medium, Trichophyton spp. in the onion medium with 34.9 millimeters ad Fusarium spp. in the banana medium with 45.7 millimeters. The growth of Cladosporium spp. and Trichophyton spp. in the mixed experimental culture medium B+P+G+O showed no significant difference with Sabouraud Dextrose Agar and with p-values of 0.522 and 1.64. However, the growth of Fusarium spp. in the Sabouraud Dextrose Agar and the experimental culture medium B+P+G+O demonstrated significant difference with a p-value of 0.007. The findings of this study suggest that formulated mixed experimental culture medium composed of banana, pineapple, garlic, and onion can be an alternative fungal culture medium for the isolation of Cladosporium spp., Trichophyton spp. and Fusarium spp.
