International Relations (IR) is an academic discipline and field of study that examines the interactions, relationships, and behaviours of nation-states and other international actors in the global arena. At its core, IR seeks to understand how countries and other global entities interact with one another, why they do so, and the implications of these interactions. It encompasses a broad and multidisciplinary range of topics, including diplomacy, international law, conflict and cooperation, international organizations, trade, and security, among others.
