520 _aA descriptive correlation study was done to determine the risk factors and prevalence of pulmonary diseases among public utility drivers in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. A total of 234 public utility drivers that belong to an organization and are plying along the route of Tagbilaran City was included in the study. Using random sampling, the researchers was able to get the study population. The questionnaire contained 2 times that dealt with the risk factors of public utility drivers to pulmonary diseases and the prevalence of pulmonary diseases among public utility drivers. The researcher encouraged the respondent to answer the questionnaire honestly and objectively. The study result showed the risk factor of smoking, indoor and outdoor pollutants, occupational agents and genetics. The data present that Occupational Agents got the Highest rank on the Risk factor of Public utility drivers to Pulmonary Diseases having 816 points, followed by indoor and outdoor pollutants. To those that were diagnosed with a physician, the most prevalent diagnosis is asthma. To those who were not diagnosed but felt symptoms of specific pulmonary diseases, the most prevalent is cystic fibrosis, followed by asthma. The data also present that risk factors for pulmonary disease/s among public utility drivers in Tagbilaran City have a significant association to the prevalence of the said disease/s. because of this, a proposed health intervention program was formulated to educate to education and to prevent pulmonary diseases to outgrow in number.
