Part One: The Passion
Part Two: The Devotion
Part Three: The Traditions

The passion, devotion and traditions of Bantayan are still very much alive even after almost two centuries (reckoned from the year of the first Papal Indult in 1829. It has been literally tested by fire in 1973, survived the Philippine revolution against Spain in 1898, and the birth of the Philippine Independent Church, which separated from Rome in 1902. Bantayanons have remained loyal to the Roman Catholic Church in general, and, judging from the fervor and enthusiasm of the second, third, fourth, and fifth generations of the Lenten Paso caretakers, it will not be hard to predict that their religious practices and traditions will go on for the next hundreds of years.
