The industry has progressed well in past few years by using various techniques and chemicals fertilizers and advanced farm practices. The industrial revolution also came around to influencing agriculture, with several decennials of delay, bringing it from an almost exclusively extensive practice to intensive cultivation, aimed towards the maximun productivity per surface unit. This is how industrial agriculture was born, experiencing its boom at the end of the 50's and deeply upsetting the rural economy, agronomic science, as well as the landscape itself.
