Forensic photography, also referred to as crime scene photography, is an activity that records the initial appearance of the crime scene and physical evidence, in order to provide a permanent record for the courts. Crime scene photography differs from other variations of photography because crime scene photographers usually have a very specific purpose for capturing each image. Forensic photography is an essential technique used in the field of forensic odontology that plays an important role in crime investigations as well as in medicolegal issues which is also known as "crime scene photography". Main significance of photography in forensic odontology is that it is economical and provides evidence at a faster rate. The book demonstrates how to record photographs in low-light conditions, including the use of flash and painting with light techniques.
